September 20 to October 31, 2010

Riding on the wave of rising interest in Korean Art, a K Pop-Art explosion will hit Wendt-SBin Art this October. Korean Pop Art will feature the works of six Korean contemporary artists in a myriad of art mediums that show the creative depth of expressions of each artist.

The line-up includes Bahk Seon Ghi, Goh Geun Ho, Lee Jae Hoon, Lee Jae Sam, Lee Sung O and Park Insane each of whom has enjoyed international success having been exhibited and acquired by collectors from across the globe from Tokyo, to Shanghai, to Dubai, to London and Los Angeles.

Highlights from the exhibition include Goh Geun Ho’s steel sculptures which strike a nostalgic chord with resemblance of toys before the digital age; Lee Jae Sam scenes created in the quietness of charcoal; Lee Sung O’s interpretation honouring a great master presented through a mixed medium of clay on canvas; and Bahk Seon Ghi’s installations which stand solidly in a boldness of black or a serene white, juxtaposed against a stark background.
